Serving The Youth
The Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco in the Africa East (AFE) Province joyfully share in the salvific mission of Christ the Good Shepherd, dedicating themselves to the evangelization and holistic education of young people.
Inspired by the Preventive System of St. John Bosco, we commit to being signs and bearers of God’s love, forming the young through reason, religion, and loving kindness. Our mission is to accompany them on their journey of faith and personal growth, helping them become good Christians and honest citizens.
In Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania, we serve in diverse educational and pastoral capacities: School principals and teachers fostering academic excellence with Salesian values. Psychologists and counselors supporting young people’s emotional and mental well-being. Directors of religious education forming young hearts in faith and moral values. Campus ministers journeying with students in universities and technical institutes.
Missionaries in marginalized areas, reaching out to the most vulnerable. Wherever young people are, that is where we want to be! We believe that every child and youth is a gift, called to experience the liberating power of God’s grace and to respond with generous self-giving in society. Together, as the Salesian Sisters of AFE Province, we continue to serve with joy, bringing hope and shaping the future—one young person at a time!
